I was at a stage where I really had to rush, So I skipped painting the baker after doing the line art. Instead I tried a different method, which I'm more happier with. I filled the background with pastel yellow and filled the line colour in a golden shade. This made the scene seem more rich, going back to my research, this style was inspired by one of the references I analysed/ researched. This style keeps a warm environment almost seems like the baker is in his own world.

I left it golden until I reached the point where he was disturbed by the door bell and had to leave his baking. Which would signify back to reality in a way.
