Credo is a mind map referencing tool, that branches out to other research topics. Is really helpful when diving into deep research. Makes things quicker to research as well. Is not perfect however, can repeat sometimes. I used this tool and printed out multiple spider diagrams, relating to my bakery research. Below are PDF documents of the words I searched up.

Mood Boards
Some of the picture's are annotated.
Like any other unit, or any point of pre-production in general, there simply needs to be a mood board. It's a vital produced product, even industries rely on this method. Putting together multiple third-party material to set a certain mood or bring out inspiration. So I created various mood boards that i specifically need to either research or produce concepts for.
Concept Sketches

Using the images off of my Fat cat mood board (secondary), I did few sketches of different cats, here there are more variety unlike my primary research ones.

This one isn't particularly secondary, As I drew this without reference, however this is the main sketch that inspired me to do more of these with references. This is a cheesecake

Also one of the concepts I drew with reference, focusing on the lighting and details of the material/ surface of the cake. I won't be using posh deserts like these however.

When I was searching up images for references, I didn't quite jot down the names of the desserts. This is one of the cakes I would like to add or something similar, it's simple and fits perfect in a clustered bakery in a town.

I managed to experiment painting glass, which wasn't much difficult digitally.

These ones might not be like most of my strong ones, but I tried my best to capture the texture of the cake, as well as not focusing on lines.
Some of the picture's are annotated.
Above are sketches of secondary research, I found pictures online and redrew it in my own style. The desserts being more detailed and fully rendered. While the cat drawings are referenced of internet images (which are included in my fat cat mood board above this section). These are done for practice and referencing for the production process of animating.
In this document I research the audience of different shows that are similar to what I'm making (or a similar target audience). I was able to use a web tool called 'YouGovProfiles' to produce research for one of the shows, this tool is useful for researching stats of popular topics. I was only able to find one similar animation.
Colour Palette
Using the Photoshop in-built Colour scheme tool, I was able to create and find multiple colour palettes, which I could use for my animation scene, or just to add to the pitch bible. I analysed each of them deciding where each of the scheme would suit well, and which one wouold be qualified for the scene I'm animating. This will be used for concept art and animation.
Artstyle and Inspiration
This part of my research also held a huge significance, as it influenced my art style and ideas of the animation. Few of them are the references that inspired this animation. Most of these are written with my interpretation, however with few little research here and there. I take the opportunity to analyse it's art style as well the storyline, characters, atmosphere, etc. This gets me to my artist research below.

Artist Research
Boulangeries and Patisseries
My research has to include how bakeries and patisseries work, as well as how they are made for animation purposes. This will make sure an accurate representation of what goes on in a bakery, I couldn't find many traditional sources, as to old vintage equipment. Either way, I've learnt quite a lot and this has really inspired me to understand the passion behind the kitchen doors.
I was able to produce one artist research on a heavily inspired creator. Very intrigued with her art style and atmosphere, portraying positivity and safety.
I was able to get hold of an interview online of the artist, as she was really popular in Israel and other Asian countries. While she spoke about her art, I also lest a paragraph of analysing her art, and how aesthetic and eye catching it is. Also addressing few of the elements I want to add similar to her style.

Bakery Contact sheet
Cat Primary research
Contact sheets are images that are been set as a list to review as mini thumbnails all together, which is good for comparing between each one taken. I took these original pictures as part of my primary research, used as an original mood board. Keeps things believable when having different sources. I visited different places like costa, m&s bread section as well as authentic places like posh bakeries in Richmond street.
Just like the above, I produced contact list research for one of the characters this time. I don't own a cat, so I was able to visit my friends house to take pictures and insert into a contact list to compare my references. I was able to take videos of the cat walk cycle as well as few different shots and positions. Was also able to find a cat on the street (the cat's personality was inspired by this cat).
Character sketches
Using the primary pictures above of the cat, and sketched digitally. To understand the anatomy as well as practice. As these are my own original pictures i used to reference when drawing.
I had access to the food tech department in my college, so I took this opportunity to visit and take some primary sketches of students doing work in the kitchen with their uniforms, capturing their gestures and actions. These were all quick rough drawings I had to do while they were moving around.
